Born in Terdzholi on the 12th of April 1955.
In 1965 he finished Chkhari secondary school and was awarded a gold medal for his academic performance. That same year he entered the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Tbilisi Medical University, from which he graduated in 1977. He then entered the Postgraduate School at the Pharmacochemical Research Institute of the Georgian Academy of Sciencies.
In 1989 he wrote his doctoral thesis Triterpenoid saponins from Fatsia Japonica and the preparation ìFacifloginî.
He has published 18 papers and he is co-inventor of the pharmaceutical preparation Faciflogin and author of the patentable preparation PS-551.
He works as research assistant at the Pharmacochemical Research Institute of the Georgian Academy of Sciencies. He is Head of Laboratory at the company Iveriapharma and he is Professor at the Tbilisi State University and its branches.
